Qantas Airways is on an expansion spree in North America. Recently Qantas added new 40 routes across the US to its global network<\/strong>. The more routes in the US mean the more Qantas Airways flights to North American destinations.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Qantas Airways extended agreements with its codeshare partner airlines including American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and WestJet to get access to new routes in the US, Canada and Mexico. The extended codeshare agreement came into effect on October 25, taking the number of Qantas Airways\u2019 codeshare routes to more than 200 in North America. \u00a0With new 40 routes in its network, Qantas will be flying to over 100 destinations in the US.<\/strong><\/p>\n Some of the major new routes that Qantas Airways flights<\/a> will be operated on in codeshare partnership with American Airlines are Los Angeles to Philadelphia, Los Angeles to Vancouver, Los Angeles to Mexico City, and San Francisco to Phoenix. Qantas will fly the San Francisco-Palm Springs route in codeshare agreement with Alaska Airlines. Some of the newly added 40 routes are the routes to 25 Canadian cities including Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, which Qantas will be operating in codeshare partnership with WestJet.<\/p>\n With new codeshare routes in place, travelers can book more Qantas Airways flights across North America, Canada and Mexico from the airline\u2019s getaways: Los Angeles and San Francisco, according to Gareth Evans, CEO of Qantas International. Travelers will have their luggage<\/a> checked straight from origin airports to destinations airports while flying on the new routes.<\/strong><\/p>\n Gareth Evans also said that they identified a possibility to make San Francisco International Airport another key hub in the US once new nonstop service to San Francisco would be launched this year through extension of the existing codeshare partnerships.<\/p>\n The national career of Australia currently operates weekly 37 direct flights to Los Angeles, Honolulu and Dallas, daily one-stop flights to New York, and seasonal flights to Vancouver in Canada. Five weekly Qantas Airways flights will be operated to San Francisco from December onwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n
